This page is a pretty good metaphor for what actually awaits me.
I hate having to do this again (again), but Endless City is taking a break for an undefined period of time. Not that the comic has became a shore or anything, it’s just that I really need to change my priorities.
For those who don’t know, I’m a newly graduated student in graphic design and am actually looking for a job, for obvious reasons but also so I can get the hell outa my parents’ house to start my life as an antisocial artistic pervert bachelor. A recent work interview for a job as a 2D artist in a prestigious Québec-based video game company really opened my eyes (more) on the fact that my portfolio isn’t diversified enough, both in terms of illustrations and design. As I said before, I have to change my priorities, and for a while, the comic has become kind of counter-productive. When I work on a page, I rarely have the time to work on anything else. I need practice in terms of real-life drawing and more traditional drawing and painting. I have a huge poster I want to finish quickly so I can work on new material, some page setup and logo design I’d like to start working on, and I would like to still have the time to work on more personal and fun stuff, as well as maybe starting to offer commission deals and seek out contracts and temporary jobs to gain enough experience for a full-time job as a designer or an illustrator.
So for those reasons and other personal ones, Endless City and the adventures of Danger Dave & Miko are shutting down for a while. I hope you guys understand, and I also hope that you liked what you read and saw until now. It was a fun ride, and I truly hope I’ll be back on the comic soon enough.
I would also like to thank good friend Raven Perez for taking the time, energy, and effort to release a special issue of his webcomic, Raven’s Dojo, featuring our favourite duo. I’m sorry we won’t see how his work affect the stories and events of the regular comic anytime soon, but I know my characters are in good hands for the moment.
Oh gosh i am in love!
the colors, angles, and style are all just delicious!!! not sure why but quirky dialogue and abnormal characters just draw me in.
Good luck! and cannot wait for the next one!
Special request for a friend...and an invitation!
I know it's a week before V-Day but I got a special request. Every Valentine's Day an old pal of mine from Sarah Zero does a special event called the Valentine's Day Sex Drive in which he posts a nude of his character, Sarah Zero on his vote incentive. However, over the years his spirit's started to wane. However, this Valentine's Day we intend to bring back that spirit with a new Valentine's Day Sex Drive Pic! But we your help! Would you be willing to contribute to the VDSD and draw some of your females nude for this special event?
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. At the very least I need to know if you're in or out.
For your regular dose of crazy action, wacky antics, unusual characters, and simply freaky comicbook shenanigans! Follow the adventure of Danger Dave and Miko, as they fight crime in Endale City.
